Regional Health Delivers 2,727 Babies in '09

2,727 babies were born at Regional Health facilities in 2009. Rapid City Regional Hospital (RCRH) delivered 2,268 babies and Spearfish Regional Hospital (SPRH) delivered 459.

“We are privileged to share the miracle of birth with our patients and their families,” said Linda Haberstroh, Director of Obstetrics at RCRH. “Our staff do an excellent job providing very good care to mothers and babies during this special time.”

Cathy Dill, Director of Patient Services at SPRH, said many of the comments from patients describe their delivery as the best experience they could have hoped for.

“Families love having their babies at our hospital,” she said. “The staff is very competent and caring.”
