Safety & Quality Data

Regional Health is committed to patient safety and quality care. As our purpose is to help patients and communities live well, we share performance information to help you make important decisions about your health care. We continually strive to improve our performance in all areas as we aim to be the best health care system in the nation.

Regional Health Safety & Quality Data

Readmission is when a patient returns to a hospital, within 30 days of discharge after a previous hospitalization.

National comparison data represents the Premier, Inc. top quartile. Premier, Inc. (Nasdaq: PINC) is a health care performance improvement alliance of approximately 3,600 U.S. hospitals and 120,000 other providers. As an industry leader, the Premier alliance has created one of the most comprehensive databases of actionable data, best practices and cost reduction strategies.

Outpatient Blood Pressure Control

Regional Health patients, age 18-85, who have a diagnosis of high blood pressure are included in this measure to determine how many of those patients have blood pressure less than 140/90. Because blood pressure can be impacted by a number of variables, RH’s goal is to have 73% of these patients meet this goal.

Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections

A catheter associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) is an infection related to the use of a urinary catheter. Regional Health’s goal is to reduce the number of catheter associated urinary tract infections to zero.
