Organ & Tissue Donation

Nurses at Rapid City Regional Hospital are partnering with LifeSource, the organ and tissue donation agency in the Upper Midwest, to encourage the people in our community to register as organ and tissue donors through a Donate Life Black Hills campaign. The national transplant waiting list includes the names of more than 107,000 men, women, and children. More than 100 transplant recipients live in our community and many more of our neighbors have loved ones who have generously given the gift of organ and tissue donation to help others.

Each one of us who registers to be a donor has the opportunity to help up to 60 people through organ and tissue donation. Being an organ and tissue donor creates an incredible legacy that changes and heals lives. Our nurses are proud to share their commitment to donation with our community.      

Federal funding for this new campaign is provided by the Division of Transplantation, Health Resources and Services Administration, US Department of Health and Human Services.  Register to be an organ and tissue donor today.
