Regional Health Employees Wear Jeans to Support WEAVE

CUSTER, SD - Regional Health employees in the Southern Hills helped earn money for Women Escaping A Violent Environment (WEAVE) by wearing jeans on June 1. Regional Health's Community Jeans Day Program raised $127.05 for the local chapter that provides crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Regional Health's Community Jeans Day Program began last November. Since then, Regional Health employees in the Southern Hills have donated a total of $1,243.76 to various community programs. Employees making an annual donation are allowed to wear blue jeans to work on the first Friday of every month. The donations are divided throughout 12 months, with monthly proceeds going to a different local charity in each community.
