Apheresis treatment for high cholesterol

Following six vessel-bypass surgeries, Kay was diagnosed with family cholesterol, an inherited condition that prevents her from regulating her high cholesterol. Family cholesterol affects 1 in 500 people and if undiagnosed, can lead to heart disease and premature death. Thanks to her early diagnosis, Kay and her team of medical professionals have been able to treat and dramatically improve her cholesterol. Watch this video to hear Kay’s story.
