What is Hospice Care?
Hospice care focuses on maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for people of all ages and diagnoses. Hospice provides supportive and palliative care for patients in an advanced stage of incurable illness, and also emotional and physical support for family members. By choosing hospice, patients are ensured the continuity of care through close cooperation with the attending physician, hospitals and other agencies.
"When we became part of Home Care's Hospice program we were treated in such a gentle, friendly, professional manner. From that moment, we were not alone. We had someone to call anytime, day or night. The Hospice nurses who monitored her daily, and volunteers who cared for her personal needs, helped my mother maintain her personal dignity to the end." ~Hospice Family
