Hospice Grief Center
When you are grieving, it is important to have support from someone who understands your loss and can listen openly and unconditionally. The Hospice Grief Center is designed to support hospice patients and family members as they anticipate the loss of someone they love and in the time following the loss. The Grief Center makes contact with hospice families for at least a year following the death of their loved one.
The Grief Center may also have resources for those who are grieving even if they have not been a part of hospice care.
Hospice of the Hills also offers a support group for those who have lost a loved one. The group is free, however, group members are asked to buy or borrow a copy of Alan Wolfelt’s book, Understanding Grief. The group meets every other week and has a limited number of participants.
For more information, contact Hospice of the Hill’s grief counselor at (605) 719-7722.
