Sometimes it can be difficult to know whom to call when you have questions or concerns. Below are some typical situations you may encounter during your care and the phone number to call if you need assistance in any of these areas.

We encourage you to call your doctor with questions or concerns about any of the following:
- Symptoms related to your disease or your treatment that may require medical attention
- Refills on prescriptions (allow 24 hours for refills)
- Test results, such as lab, x-ray, biopsies, or other diagnostic testing
- Questions related to your disease and treatment
After hours, calls to these numbers will be forwarded to our answering service. If you have an urgent symptom after clinic hours, on weekends, or holidays, please report directly to the Emergency Department at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
CCI Pharmacy

Our oncology pharmacists are available to counsel and answer questions related to your medications, potential drug interactions, herbal supplements, and the Medication Access program.
Social Services
A social worker is available to help patients and their families with a variety of needs, such as:
- Financial issues
- Resource information
- Lodging during treatment
- Individual and family counseling
- Support groups
- Help at home with assistance from Home Health, Hospice or Home Health Aides
- Assistance with nursing home or assisted living facilities placement
- Advance directives
Case Management
The Case Manager is a registered nurse available to assist patients with coordination of care and services such as:
- Assistance with pre-authorization of medical services and prescription plans
- Assistance with insurance questions, including explanation of benefits and coverage issues
- Clinical updates to payers for continued coverage of services
- Coordination of referrals to another institution
- Assistance with letters of medical necessity for insurance, employment, caregivers and other patient and family needs
- Assistance with obtaining and explaining estimates of treatment charges
- Assistance with miscellaneous forms, such as disability/employment, clinical updates, cancer policies or DME Medical Necessity
- General questions from patients and the community related to available education resources and information
