Inpatient Services
The inpatient facility is a CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accredited licensed 51-bed institute. It presently operates as a 28-bed acute medical rehabilitation unit providing medical care for patients requiring hospitalization. Patients are provided with 24-hour nursing care from various levels (RN, LPN, CNA) with a majority of the registered nurses being CRRN certified (specially trained in rehabilitation services).

- Speech Pathology/Audiology
- Therapeutic Recreation
- Respiratory Therapy
- Social Services and Rehabilitation Psychology
Qualifying for Inpatient Treatment
In order to qualify for treatment as an inpatient, the patient must be able to participate in three hours of multidisciplinary therapies and 60% of our total admissions must have one of the following diagnoses:
- Stroke
- Spinal cord injury
- Congenital deformity
- Amputation
- Major multiple trauma
- Femur fracture (hip fracture)
- Brain injury
- Neurological disorders
- Burns
- Active polyarticular rheumatoid arthritis
- Systemic vasculidities with joint inflammation
- Bilateral joint replacement
- Severe or advanced osteoarthritis

How to Find Us
The Inpatient Rehabilitation unit is located on the second floor of the Regional Rehabilitation Institute and treats patients of all ages with rehabilitation specific diagnoses. The unit has private rooms, semi-private rooms, patient/staff education area, brain injury observation room, patient therapy gym, team and patient/family conference area, family/TV lounge and a patient dining room.
