have once again earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval™, a three-year accreditation, by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety.

the nation's leading health care evaluation and accreditation organization. Rapid City Regional Hospital is among a handful of hospitals in America to earn this "gold standard" distinction.
COMMISSION ON ACCREDITATION OF REHABILITATION FACILITIES
The Regional Rehabilitation Institute was recently accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for its Inpatient Rehabilitation - Hospital: Adults, Children and Adolescents, and Stroke programs. Regional Rehabilitation Institute received a three-year accreditation, which represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization.
AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
Regional Cancer Care Institute’s Walking Forward program recently received the American Cancer Society (ACS) Health Promotions Community Partnership Award.
COLLEGE OF AMERICAN PATHOLOGISTS
Rapid City Regional Hospital’s Clinical Laboratory and Respiratory Therapy Laboratory have been awarded a two-year accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). The CAP Accreditation Program is recognized by the Federal Government as being equal to or more stringent than the government’s own inspection program.
ACCREDITATION COUNCIL FOR GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION
Rapid City Regional Hospital’s Family Medicine Residency Program was recently re-accredited for five years, the maximum term awarded by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
