How could Home Care help?

An active 65-year old woman is scheduled for knee replacement surgery. She expects to be in the hospital for three days following surgery and then will be discharged home. How can Regional’s Home Care help?
 
In the days following surgery, Home Health physical therapists could guide her through exercises to speed her recovery. They could provide recommendations about how to make her home as safe as possible.  Nurses could monitor the healing of her incision and help her set up medications to reduce pain and swelling. Aides could help with personal care.    
 
If she is alone for periods of time, Lifeline could provide safety for her while she is in the home. Extended Care could provide homemaker and personal care services when she is no longer homebound or has a skilled need.
