The laboratory at Rapid City Regional Hospital is located on the main floor of the hospital. You can use the dialysis entrance or the main entrance.

FAQs

Do I have to make an appointment for a blood draw? No, appointments are not necessary because we have staff available 24/7 to assist patients. Please see hours (above) for instructions.
Do I have to bring anything with me when I have labs drawn?
Yes, Patient has to have identification (picture ID), doctor's orders and insurance information.
How do I find out more information about the tests my physician ordered? A website that we would recommend for further explanations about laboratory tests is www.labtestsonline.org.
Can I have access to my test results? Yes, pending signature of a Release of Medical Information form.
Do I have to be fasting for lipid panels/fasting glucose? Yes. This means no coffee, tea, soda, etc. Water is ok.
Can I have extra labs done? For example, PSA, yearly lipid panel etc.? No, only the tests ordered by your physician.
I don't understand my bill. Who do I contact for help? If you have questions about your bill please call the RCRH Billing Department at 605-719-7863.
