Notes/FAQ

  • Most lab tests do not require an appointment. If lab testing is required other than hours listed please call to schedule an appointment.
  • Checking In: Stop and check in at the "Inpatient and Outpatient Admitting" desk.
  • Your doctor is the best person to contact for your test results. If you need help obtaining your test results, you may call Sturgis Regional Hospital Health Information Management at 720-2400 for instructions.
  • A few tests do require you to fast. Typically a 12-hour fast is required, which means you should not eat or drink any liquid besides water for 12 hours before the test. You may continue to take your prescribed medicines. If you are unsure, contact the lab with any questions.
  • Information to bring: When stopping at our admissions desk before you visit the lab, you should have the following information with you: 1) The test request form from a health care professional requesting laboratory testing; 2) A current insurance identification card (Medicare, Private Insurance or HMO/PPO); and, 3) A photo ID (for example, a driver's license or employee identification badge).
