Angela Christopherson, RN, BSN
Bariatric Coordinator
Angela is new to the bariatric coordinator position starting on May 17, 2010. She comes to bariatrics with 9 years of nursing experience, including post op surgical, dialysis, case management and emergency nursing. Angela brings a wealth of clinical knowledge to the program and is available for your assistance throughout your weight loss journey. Angela coordinates the bariatric care of patient through the Regional Weight Management program, including scheduling, insurance authorization and follow up care.
Patty Bambeck
CNP, Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Board Certified Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Specialization in the psychological management of stress, coping skills, adjustment disorders, depression and anxiety. She promotes health maintenance through patient and family education and counseling. She can provide psychopharmacologic evaluation and treatment when indicated.
Jim Rix
PT, MPT, CSCS
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Physical therapist at Regional Rehabilitation Institute specializing in spinal and peripheral joint disorders, sports medicine and general orthopedics.Provides the exercise and fitness instructional component of the weight management program.
Dr. Teresa Hastings
PhD, Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Licensed clinical psychologist in the Neuropsychological Department.
Conducts the psychological assessment piece as part of the pre-bariatric surgery process. Specializes in all areas of assessment, including: bariatric, learning and brain disorders, psychological, child custody, and criminal evaluations. Also conducts therapy with individuals who have eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and stress problems.
Mary Kallemeyn
RD, LN
Mary Kallemeyn is a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Nutritionist. Her passion is wellness; and her message is “to help individuals make dietary changes to achieve better nutritional balance and develop lifestyle habits to correct or to help manage chronic diseases.” Mary is a clinical inpatient/outpatient dietitian at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She has experience teaching cooking classes, leading support groups, and providing media presentations for the Rapid City community.
